Bridge: from the first form to the first day

Admissions and federal and state programs, one form and one step at a time.

A father hugs his daughter from behind as she reads her result on the laptop at the dining table.

For many families, the hardest part of starting college comes before the first class: applications, documents and forms for federal and state programs, each one a reason to stop.

Bridge is the Corner guide for that stretch. It is being built to walk learners and families through admissions and federal and state programs, one form and one step at a time.

What it will do

  • Guide the application. From the first application to the first day of class.
  • Explain the funding. Federal and state programs, step by step.
  • Take one step at a time. One form at a time, so no one has to face the whole process at once.
  • Show the real costs. Real jobs, real pay and real costs, drawn from Horizon and public data.

The idea behind it

A debt-free degree only helps the people who can reach it. On Campus, federal and state programs cover the cost for eligible students, so no one has to borrow. Paperwork should not be what stands in the way. Bridge breaks a long process into small steps a family can take together.

How it fits

Bridge is built for Campus. It works with CampusOS, which connects admissions and financial aid, and with Scout and Stride, which help each student choose a path and finish it. Read more on the Corner page.

Where it stands

Bridge is in development within United Education and is not open to families yet. It will be released when it is ready, and will take its place on the release ledger then.
