Campfire: learning together, online and in person
Study groups and communities, so no one learns alone.
Learning alone is hard. Questions go unasked, a hard week goes unnoticed, and it is easy to drift away. Learning next to others who are on the same road makes it easier to keep going.
Campfire is the Village product for learning together. It is being built to bring learners into communities where they gather, talk and learn from each other, online and in person.
What it will do
- Form study groups. Small groups of learners who study together and help each other through.
- Build communities. Places to gather and talk, online and in person.
- Bring peers together. On Campus-2, it will form peer groups of founders who push each other forward.
The idea behind it
Village brings together three kinds of people around every learner: those who teach, those who guide, and those who learn alongside them. Campfire is for that third group. Peers on the same road understand each other’s questions and keep each other going. Learning becomes something people do together.
How it fits
Campfire is built for Campus. It sits next to Lantern, for mentors who have walked the path, and Bench, for vetted tutors. Read more on the Village page.
Where it stands
Campfire is still in internal development at United Education. Like every product we build, it will be released when it is ready, and not before. Follow the release ledger to see each release as it comes.
