CampusOS: one platform for the whole college

From the first application to graduation day, one support profile for every student.

Two students ride bikes down an autumn path on campus, the nursing student letting go of the handlebars for a moment.

A student’s path through college touches many offices, from admissions to careers. When each office sees only its own part, a student can fall between them.

CampusOS is the edition of the Grid platform for colleges and universities. It is being built to connect every system a campus already runs, through open connectors, and to build one support profile for each student.

What it will connect

  • Admissions and records. Applications, documents and decisions, then enrollment, grades and progress toward the degree.
  • Learning. Courses, assignments and the tutor inside them.
  • Financial aid. Federal and state programs, step by step.
  • Advising and careers. One shared picture of the student for every advisor, plus skills, internships and the jobs that need them.

The idea behind it

Built once, shared by every Campus. CampusOS, Liber and the tools around them are meant to form one operating system for every United college. Every fix would reach every student at once, a new Campus would open with a working system on day one, and shared engineering would lower the cost per graduate, so federal and state programs go further.

How it fits

On a Campus, CampusOS will connect the college, Liber will teach, and Corner will help every student choose, plan and finish. It is the same platform as SchoolOS, in an edition for colleges and universities. Read more on the Grid page.

Where it stands

CampusOS is in internal development at United Education. We will release it once it is ready, and it will be listed on the release ledger in its turn.
