Liber: the patient tutor inside every product

For most of history, the best education was a private tutor, and it was the privilege of a few. AI changes the cost of teaching, and with it, who gets to learn.

Liber is the tutor we are building for everyone. Its name means both free and book in Latin. It is designed to be the patient teacher inside every United Education product.

How it will teach

• Questions first. It will ask what you think before it explains, so the learner does the thinking.
• Hints, not answers. It will offer the next small step, then wait.
• At your pace. It will never rush, and it will check that each idea stuck before moving on.
• In your language. From first letters to advanced work, in the learner’s own language.

Four tiers, many forms

The same way of teaching runs in four tiers. Liber Edge is free, on the learner’s own device. Liber Open is open models anyone can build on. Liber Sovereign runs inside an organization’s own secure environment. Liber Frontier runs on the strongest AI models.

Liber will also take the form that fits a learner’s life: Unbound in the browser, Line by voice on any phone, and Caravan, a whole school on a laptop with no connection. Read more on the Liber page.

Where it stands

Liber is being built inside United Education, one part at a time. Its tiers and forms will be released over time, each when it is ready, and each will take its turn on the release ledger.
