Scout: help choosing a path that fits

The right path starts with an honest look at the options.

From a hill trail above town, a teenager points toward the horizon as his father laughs.

Choosing what to learn is a big decision, often made with little to go on. A student picks a major from a list of names. A worker whose job is changing guesses which skills will last.

Scout is the Corner advisor for that choice. It is being built to help each person find a learning and career path that fits their talents, their time and the work they want.

What it will do

  • Start with the person. It will weigh your talents, your experience and your time.
  • Show the real numbers. Real jobs, real pay and real costs, drawn from Horizon and public data.
  • Help choose a major. On Campus, from AI roles at Campus-1 to business paths at Campus-2.
  • Find the next step at work. A path an adult can learn around a full-time job.

The idea behind it

A good counselor does not hand you a path. They lay out the options honestly and help you weigh them. Scout is built the same way: it will show what each path pays and what it costs, and the learner decides.

How it fits

At Work, Scout sits between Horizon, which shows which skills are growing, and Liber, which teaches the path once it is chosen. On Campus, it works alongside Bridge and Stride. Read more on the Corner page.

Where it stands

Scout is in development inside United Education and is not open to the public yet. We will release it when it is ready, and it will appear on the release ledger when its turn comes.
